The festival of Vasant Panchami holds a special significance in Hinduism. Goddess Saraswati is worshiped on this day. This Pooja is performed with great enthusiasm in eastern India. Story of Vasant Panchami:

In the early period of creation, Lord Brahma created a human being by the order of Lord Vishnu, but he was not satisfied with his creativity, then he took orders from Vishnu and sprinkled water from his kamandal on the earth, which But it started vibrating and in the form of a wonderful power, the quadrilateral beautiful woman appeared. Whose one hand has Veena (Lute) and the other hand was in Blessing Mudra. There were books and garlands in the other two hands. When this goddess gave Veena the melodious voice, then all creatures of the world got the voice, then Brahma called that goddess Saraswati, the goddess of speech.

Goddess Saraswati is worshiped by several names like Bagishwari, Bhagwati, Sharda, Veenavadini and Vagdevi. She is the goddess of music because of she is the origin of music as well. Vasant Panchami is also celebrated as his birthday. According to the Puranas (Scriptures), Shri Krishna was pleased with Saraswati and gave him a boon that you will also be worshiped on this day. That’s why Saraswati, the goddess of learning, is worshiped on the day of Vasant Panchami in Hinduism.

Importance of the festival:

Method of worship:

Vasant Panchami is more fruitful today because it is Wednesday. It should be got up in the early morning and bathed with gram flour paste on the body. After this, Goddess Sharda should be worshiped by wearing clean yellow clothes. Also, saffron sweet rice must be prepared and consumed at home.
